SN 4406. Cal. 22LR. Right slide marking “ACE .22 LONG RIFLE”. Left slide marking Colt’s standard Hartford address and standard 1913 patent date with Rampant Colt to the right. Right receiver marked SN behind slide stop hole. Right upper trigger guard bow marked “12” for assembler. Left side upper trigger guard bow marked “3” over “VP”. Front sight is tall, wide rounded. Rear sight is adjustable with square notch. Mag catch assembly is well polished and pristine. Trigger is short, milled checkered. Hammer is long wide spur checkered. Thumb safety and slide stop checkered. Stocks are full checkered walnut. Grip safety has long spur and mainspring housing is checkered with no lanyard loop. Mag is early pin-type with bottom marked “COLT” over “ACE” over “22L.R.”. CONDITION: Rear sight adjusting screws are pristine. Underside of slide is highly polished with only minor wear. Hammer roller mechanism moves freely and appears to be in good shape. Stocks are very good++ condition. Stock screws are blued and show no signs of abuse. Minor speckles on right side of receiver, small scratches on front grip strap. Takedown scratch. Slide shows wear at edges and numerous small scratches on sides and top. Small amount of pitting near muzzle. Only small amount of blue is missing from sides of mag, floorplate of mag has only a couple of scratches and dings. Bore is bright and shiny.
