HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED GOLDENROD TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has rare reverse painted goldenrod shade with a band of yellow goldenrod flowers surrounding the bottom of the shade with shaded green and yellow foliage surrounding. Shade is further decorated with shadowy outlines of pine trees and deciduous trees in the background all against a muted orange ground. Shade is signed on the inside lip “Handel 6536”. Shade rests on a Handel base with cast trees surrounding the stem. Base is complete with a 3 socket cluster and original cap with square cutouts all in a dark brown finish. Base is stamped on the underside with blocked letters “Handel”. SIZE: Shade: 17-7/8″ dia. Lamp: 23-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base has some minor blistering and discoloration to finish, otherwise very good, rewired with contemporary plastic cord. 5-69859 (9,000-12,000) – Lot 3265
