Bore and mechanics are excellent. Receiver and bbl have most all factory blue finish remaining with thinning and muzzle wear. A 1/4″ diameter spot on bottom of bbl where finish has been chemically etched off. Finish over chamber and forward receiver ring is worn very thin from evident hand carry. Floorplate and trigger guard are in matching condition with thinning finish with slight loss at edges. Checkered Winchester steel buttplate retains approximately two thirds of its factory blue finish. Rear sight has been exchanged for a contemporary Lyman folding sight. A slight amount of finish wear is evident from where the previous elevator was present on the earlier sight. Walnut checkered stock has been tastefully refinished over a number of small bruises and light darkened scratches. Most of the newer stock finish remains with some slight flaking towards end of butt and forward of trigger guard assembly. Bolt handle has retained most factory finish with typical thinning on side and bottom. Cocking assembly is quite fresh and has a minimum of finish wear at the very rear. Bolt is numbered on underside to match receiver. 51033-42 TDW (1,500-2,000) C&R; IVORY – Lot 3246
