SN CFA005. Cal. 460 Weatherby Magnum. 24″ Heavy bbl fitted with single standing leaf rear sight and ramp front holding gold bead is marked “Champlain Firearms Inc Enid Oklahoma” on top and with caliber on left side. Magnum length Brevex Mauser action with rounded bridge is marked with SN on right side of receiver ring. A Griffin & Howe side mount has been installed. Bolt with engine turned body and extractor has been fitted with Model 70 type safety, and has standard turned down bolt handle with small knob. Bottom metal has deep hinged floorplate retained by button release in trigger guard bow. A commercial trigger has been installed. Nicely streaked European walnut stock measures 14″ over dark brown leather covered pad, and features swept right hand shadow line cheekpiece, steel grip cap, ebony forend tip, and well cut multi-point pattern checkering wrapping around forend and at grip where sides are separated from rectangular checkered area on top by ribbons. Zeiss Diavari – C 1.5 – 4.5 X scope with duplex reticle is in G&H mounts. Drop at heel: approx 2-1/8″, drop at comb: approx 1-11/16″. Cast: Neutral. Weight without scope: 9 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14″. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially refinished. Metal parts retain nearly all of what appears to be their orig blue. Stock shows a light refinish over some minor nicks and scratches, checkering lightly worn. Bore is excellent, bright, sharp and shiny throughout. Action is smooth.
