SET OF SIX CHIPPENDALE STYLE MAHOGANY DINING CHAIRS.

Second quarter 20th century, probably Massachusetts. The set consisting of four side chairs and two armchairs. The serpentine crestrails above pierced and molded splats flanked by shaped styles joined to over upholstered seats with brocade fabric and brass tacks along the frontal seat rail. Raised on cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet. SIZE: Armchairs: 37” h Side chair: 36” h. Seat h 19”. PROVENANCE: An eastern Massachusetts estate near Cape Cod. CONDITION: Chairs retain original finish, structurally very good with minor abrasions and blemishes, otherwise good. 49486-3 (900-1,200) – Lot 3215
