*MARLIN MODEL 1893 SHORT RIFLE. CAL. 32-40. Standard grade rifle with 20″ oct. bbl marked on the left flat “Special Smokeless Steel”, full magazine, case colored receiver, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate. SN 190381 CONDITION: Very good. The bbl and magazine tube retain about 95% orig. strong blue with scattered rust freckling. Receiver retains 35-40% faded case colors, strong in sheltered areas, slightly battered screws. The wood is sound and retains about 90% bright varnish. Strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-44593 JL43 (500-1000)
