COUNTRY FRENCH OAK FARMHOUSE TABLE.

Second half, 20th century, France. This good benchmade example constructed from old timber in the style of an 18th century country farmhouse table. The rectangular three-board top projecting above the conforming frieze, a cutlery drawer fitted at one end raised on square legs joined by cross stretchers at each end. The whole of pegged construction. SIZE: 30″ h x 8’11” l x 37″ w. PROVENANCE: From a private Massachusetts collection. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Top with old shrinkage cracks and abrasions and wear, due to age of planks. 50800-148 (500-1,000) – Lot 3198
