ROYAL WUERTTEMBERG UHLAN REGIMENT 19 RESERVE OFFICER’S TSCHAPKA TO PARADE MODEL 1899.

Black lacquered leather helmet body with fine silver trim. Helmet body has excellent form and elegant construction. Frontplate is a finely gilded arms of royal Wuerttemberg. Gold reserve cross on center of frontplate. Rounded chinscales on rosettes with single Reich’s officer cockade. Interior has fine quality officer sweat leather and silk head liner. No extra holes in helmet body. Mortar border covered with red and silver bullion parade rabatte. Complete with officer’s red, white and black Yak hair parade plume and bullion field badge. Also attached on top of mortar board complete set of silver bullion parade cords. PROVENANCE: Andreas Thies, The Art of Chivalry; The Doug Buhler Collection of Rare and Spectacular German Imperial Headgear and Pickelhauben. CONDITION: Very good inside and out.
