HAND PAINTED SIGNED OLD WORCESTER PLAQUE.

This mid-19th century plaque titled, “Sunday Morning”, and signed Jesse Mortford and dated 1857. A very old museum-type paper label affixed to the reverse and states, “Old Worcester Plaque with cleverly executed landscape, by Jesse Mortford signed 1857 a clever work”. Depicts an early European village scene with a church in the background and numerous figures in the street. SIZE: 10” h x 8” w. CONDITION: Generally very good. 49421-80 (700-900) – Lot 3144
