First half 20th century, Sioux leggings beaded thread sewn on brain tanned hide with pictorial designs, crossed pipe, equestrian clubs and several other designs with fringed edges, bead colors are bright orange red, light blue, dark blue, white, cranberry and yellow. Northern Plains leggings geometric beaded spot stitched on linen strips applied to brain tanned hide, geometric pattern of diamonds in dark blue, clear amber, white, pony trader blue, orange white hearts, greasy yellow. SIZE: Sioux (each) 30″ l x 16″ w (with fringe). Northern (each) 31″ l x 15″ w. CONDITION: Sioux leggings are good. Northern Plains very good. 50620-11 (800-1,200) – Lot 3142
