LOT OF 13 POWDER HORNS AND DRINKING HORN. This lot consists of two very large powder horns and eleven smaller powder horns of various sizes and ages and one silver mounted drinking horn with an inscription dated “4 JULY 1873”. One of the medium size horns is scrimmed with the name “ALBERT YOUNG APRIL 17 1880” and has a snake motif and Pennsylvania hex sign. All the horns appear to be fairly early, some with small wooden pegs securing the plugs and others with decorated plugs. CONDITION: Generally very good. One or two with minor bug bites. 4-45740 JL176 (300-500)
