LOUIS XV STYLE MARQUETRY LADY’S SECRETAIRE. Late 19th/early 20th century, France. The rectangular kingswood and rosewood case with serpentine and bombe lid and sides, all profusely inlaid with foliate and floral decoration. The interior fitted with an arrangement of three drawers beneath an open shelf, all above a well. The desk with three-quarter gilt metal mounted gallery. The lid with gilt metal border. Each leg headed with ormolu cartouche, the legs terminating in sabots. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h x 27-1/2″ w x 16-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Generally very good, with minor cosmetic restoration.
