IMPRESSIVE STERLING SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE BY TETARD FRERES.

Paris, France. Circa 1910. The set comprised of a 16″ t hot water urn, 10-1/2″ t coffee pot, 9″ t teapot, 6″ t covered sugar, 6-1/4″ t creamer, 4″ t waste bowl and 27-1/2″ l handled serving tray. Most with slender paw form feet ending at acanthus leaves where they meet the body. The two pots and urn with dragon form spouts and all are marked on the underside with makers mark and matched numbers. Each monogrammed. Total weight is approximately 290 troy oz. PROVENANCE: Commissioned from Tetard in 1910 by Doctor Martin Ferreyra of Cordoba, Argentina. Made for their house The Palacio Ferreyra (done by the Parisian firm Sanson), said to be one of the greatest examples of French Classicism in Latin America. Through the family by descent.
