Steiff cat named Kitty with working tail moves head mechanism. Kitty is standing and made from mohair white and grey striped mohair. No claws. Kitty’s face is detailed with adorable green and black slit pupil eyes, a tiny pink hand-embroidered nose and mouth, and clear monofilament whiskers. Her lips are further defined buy a spot of pink. Kitty has the delightful and relatively unusual tail moves head movement, which was only used on a few Steiff designs of the period, and designated a more exclusive item. This pattern was made in 7 sizes ranging from 10 to 35cm from 1931 to 1936. Kitty retains her button in ear as her Steiff ID. SIZE: Overall 2-3/4″ t (7cm).
