1) WALTHER P38. SN 137963. Cal. 9mm. 5″ bbl. Marked on left side of slide Walther banner, “Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do”/”P38 Cal.9mm”, SN. Matching SNs on slide, frame and bbl. Marked on right side of slide “6/61”. Right side of frame marked with two eagle “186” proofs, “BM1”. Two eagle number proofs on bottom of bbl. Alloy frame. Black checkered plastic grips. Walther banner, “P38 9mm” marked magazines, one marked with eagle “186” proof dated “8/61”, the other marked eagle “165” proof dated “11/61”. Steel cleaning rod. Period Walther box is missing end label, has gun SN written inside lid in pencil. Proper manual. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good with thinning finish on front strap. Slight wear on high points of slide. Slide hold-open does not catch. Excellent bore. Action is in good working order. Alloy frame. Black checkered plastic grips. Three magazines marked Walther banner, “P38 9mm” on left side, one undated, one dated “9/62” and one dated “10/61”. Original target. Proper manual.
