FINE ROCOCO NINE-LIGHT BRASS TORCHIERE. Second half 19th century. The torchiere with eight S- and C-scrolled arms cast with leaf tips, fruit, and berries centering a torch cast with acanthus leaves. All atop an acanthus carved column, the center attached with four scrolled elements continuing to scrolled feet on a circular stepped and molded base cast with Athemion leaves braced on suppressed reeded ball feet. The torchiere now electrified and fitted with candle lights. SIZE: Overall: 7′ 2″ h. CONDITION: Generally good with polished surfaces, one candle arm with crimped damage. 9-90172 (1,000-2,000)
