TWO RELIEF DECORATED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLES.

China, late 19th century. Both bottles decorated in high relief with continuous scenes of figures. One finished in famille rose and the other with gilt on a black ground. SIZE: 1) 3″ h . 2) 2-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: Estate of a Midwestern Public University Chancellor who died in the late 1930’s. This Chancellor was invited to speak in China in 1930s, and visited Japan and India where he acquired this item. CONDITION: Very good. 49918-6 (600-800) – Lot 3060
