SN K99729. Cal. 357 Mag. 6″ bbl with vent rib and full lug. Signature Series Silver Snake Special Edition of 250 revolvers were introduced in 1982. This edition is the first stainless steel Python produced by Colt. Sides of bbls have etched banners with special edition inscriptions. Red ramp front sight with with white outline rear adjustable sight. Six shot fluted cylinder. Pachmayr rubber grips with Colt Custom silver medallions. Accompanied by Colt Manufacturing Co. letter authenticating the revolver, confirming specifications, and describing the limited edition. Includes custom Colt marked gun pouch. Orig wood grain box with foam inserts has custom shop label marked “Etched .357 6″ Stainless Steel Python ‘1982’ Signature Series Special Edition (PROTOTYPE)”.
