RARE PAIR OF GILBERT ROHDE DESIGN CHROME PLATED “Z” STOOLS.

Mid 1930’s for Herman Miller Inc., New York. Each example of typical form with round cushion mounted on circular frame continuing to parallel tubular canted support rods joined by horizontal conforming foot rest, the whole on circular, tubular base; a continuation of the support tubes. Tubes are composed of chrome plated copper. SIZE: 24 to 25″ h x 15″ dia. 8-1/2″ h (footrest). CONDITION: Textured black leather seat cushions possibly original, chrome plating generally intact showing areas of wear and abrasion, notably under support tube.
