**HIGH CONDITION FINNISH LAHTI 20MM SEMI-AUTOMATIC ANTI-TANK RIFLE (DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE).

SN 644. Cal. 20mm. 56″ Bbl. Excellent high condition Finnish Lahti anti-tank gun on its distinctive ski-bipod with 5 magazines, 2 original magazine carriers 9 unmarked sterile blue projectile practice rounds and 5 dated 1940 original brass cased rounds. Original muzzle cover on large muzzle break. Reproduction shoulder rest at rear of receiver, and replacement threaded screw with washers retaining rubber bumper at ejection plate forward of trigger. Manufactured at the Finnish State Rifle Factory “VKT”, it is marked “20pst.kiv/39” with typical “SA” marking above SN on left side of receiver. Designed in 1939, these anti-tank guns were not available in any quantity until the war with the Soviet Union in 1941. They were effective and useful against vehicles and light tanks, as well as in a long range sniper and bunker destruction roles. Exceedingly well made, although heavy to transport for one man, the “Crank to cock action make them tremendously fun to shoot. The action of this particular specimen it extremely smooth, nicest this cataloger has ever seen. This weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible as under the classification Destructive Device (DD). CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine with smooth gray orig finish thinning in places to gray metal. There is a nick at the bottom of the case deflector plate on the right side which appears to be a bullet strike. Wooden cooling jacket is extremely fine condition with a 2 1/2″ crack at rear which does not detract. Reproduction shoulder piece in the white with black rubber shoulder rest. Magazines in excellent condition with blue lustrous finish. Carriers extremely fine to excellent with Orig paint and serviceable web straps. Bore has shiny well-defined rifling with some pitting within 6” of the muzzle. With only just under 2000 ever produced they are a rare and sought after firearm in the United States.
