SN 12072376. Cal. 7.62 X 39 MM. 16-1/4″ bbl. This Type 56 under-fold bayonet milled steel receiver machine gun was manufactured by Chinese factory “66” and includes it’s orig web and leather sling and one 30 round mag. All parts appear to be orig and matching. Consignor states that he captured this weapon from an enemy medic, brought this gun home and safeguarded it. “Republic of China” is the information appearing on current registration form, manufactures block 4A, model is “AK 47” in block 4D. Firing mechanism moves smoothly when operated by hand, this weapon appears fully functional. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is absolutely outstanding, finest orig specimen this cataloger has ever seen. Metal finish starting to thin is some places with some tinges of brown. Bolt and op-rod near excellent, shiny and bright. Bore is excellent, shiny and bright. Wood has some nicks, bruises and handling marks but considering it’s history, this is to be expected.
