The crown jewel in any Steiff collection. This early and exquisite bear is made from white mohair which has mellowed gently over time. Teddy is 5-ways jointed, solidly stuffed and has classic early Steiff proportions including the pronounced back hump, long arms with curved tan felt paws and wrists, and long narrow feet, with four claws on each paw. With working growler. Teddy’s face is detailed with black shoebutton eyes, a trimmed muzzle and a brown hand-embroidered nose and mouth. You can see a piece of the red felt underlying the nose stitching. Teddy has his small long trailing “F” button as his Steiff IDs. SIZE: Overall 28″ t (70cm). Sitting 18″ t (46cm).
