EARLY COLORFUL NAVAJO RUG. Nice early wool Navajo rug 7′-11″ by 3′-9″ of primarily red and blue colors in 3″ bands across the rug with grays-purple mixed and pale green in wavy patterns with white and brown bands at each end. One end is bound off without fringe while the other end has worn braided fringe that was orig. 5″-6″ long. The sides are bound with black natural hair stitching. CONDITION: Fine with the primary colors bright and vivid, while the greens and purples have faded slightly. The tasseled end is worn with some loose stitching. Altogether a fine early Navajo rug to compliment anyone’s den or hunting lodge. 4-45184 JL431 (2,500-4,000)
