LONDON PISTOL CO. POCKET SIZE PERCUSSION REVOLVER. CAL. 32. 5″ oct. bbl with the makers’ name on the top flat, 5-shot unfluted cylinder with stagecoach hold-up scene and dbl. cylinder-stop notches. Iron frame with side plate and iron grip frame with flared butt and 2-pc walnut grips. The bottom of the frame is marked “PATENTED/DEC.27.1859”. Revolver closely resembles a Manhattan. The frame and back strap are engraved with arabesque patterns. The serial number is marked under the left grip on the front strap and on the bottom of the bbl. SN 129 CONDITION: No original finish remains being a medium gray patina overall with some fine pitting. Grips are fine with traces of original varnish. An unusual and likely quite scarce Civil War revolver. 4-45797 (300-600)
