*ELEGANT GEORGE HOENIG ROTARY ACTION 20 GAUGE GAME GUN WITH CASE.

SN 34. Cal. 20 GA This exceptionally high quality, beautifully machined and finished shotgun, has 28″ bbls fitted with matted solid rib marked with caliber. Bright finished unique rotary action opens by a quarter turn to the right, sliding forward, and tipping down. This creates an exceptionally strong system with no projections. It features toggle safety and dbl triggers. It is engraved with bands of well cut open scroll around action and with well cut shaded scroll on top tang and trigger guard bow. Left side is marked “G. HOENIG BOISSE, ID.” (his early address), top with rotary round action logo, and right with “PATENTED” and SN. Very fine, dark marbled, and well figured, red toned European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/4″ over brown Old English pad. Well cut point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. Matching 2-pc forend, has one piece on each side of bbls. Bore diameter: top -.616, bottom -.616. Bore restrictions: top -.018 (mod), bottom -.005 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-1/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs 8 oz. LOP: 14-3/4″. Aluminum Americase is lined in dark green velvet with George Hoenig “label” embroidered in gold in lid. PROVENANCE: The Collection of Robert Burg. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with evidence of very little firing, with only a few handling marks, mostly on left side of buttstock. Mechanically crisp.
