DIMINUTIVE GEORGIAN OAK WELSH CUPBOARD.

Second half 18th century, England. In two parts. The covemolded cornice above the rectangular case fitted with two fixed plate racks each with molded facade joined to molded supports and paneled back, fitted into shoeform feet which are affixed to the lower case. The top of base with molded edge above a pair of aligned drawers above an arcaded apron raised on three frontal supports and two rear legs within which is set a molded medial shelf with rectangular apron. SIZE: 69″ h x 52″ l x 15″ d. CONDITION: Dresser retains original surface with rich nut brown patina. Working surface with old shrinkage split. Period brasses not original to dresser. Dresser top originally fitted with nine cup hooks, now absent. Dresser with in-use wear. Very good overall. 51337-2 (1,500-2,500) – Lot 2362
