BERT DUCEY (American, 20th/21st Century) “UNITED STATES VS MACEDONIAN”.

Watercolor ship battle scene shows the aftermath of the ships October 25th, 1812. Signed on left side in ocean “Ducey 2001″. Housed in a modern frame with double mats having title plaque. NOTE: The USS United States, commanded by Stephen Decatur, and the frigate HMS Macedonian, under the command of John Surman Carden. The American vessel won the long bloody battle, capturing and bringing Macedonian back to the United States. It was the first British warship to ever be brought into an American harbor SIZE: Sight: 16″ x 20″. Overall: 24-1/2″ x 28-1/2”.
