*COLLECTOR’S LOT OF THREE RARE GERMAN SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUNS.

1) RHEINMETALL NR-4. SN 1932. Cal. 16 ga. 27-1/2″ bbls. solid matted rib with steel front bead. Left side of frame with maker’s name and model Nr.4. Buttstock checkered in three-point pattern with sling swivel and grooved horn buttplate. Forearm checkered in three-point pattern. This gun looks much like an FN Auto-5. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert and Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fair to good. 30-40% orig metal finish remaining with scattered oxidation and handling marks. Buttstock with repair at toe. Checkering with wear and scattered scratches and gouges. Forearm is cracked lengthwise with and old pinned repair, checkering thinned. Mechanics are good. Bore is fair. C&R 2) WALTHER AUTO SHOTGUN. SN 3566. Cal. 12 ga. 27-1/2″ Krupp steel bbl. 2-1/2″ chambers. Small rib near muzzle with brass front bead. Left side of frame marked “Walther’s Patent”. Steel trigger. Full knob pistol grip stock checkered in two-point pattern with 13-5/8″ LOP over grooved horn buttplate. Large forearm checkered in three-point pattern with grip channel near bbl. Left side of trigger guard marked “Germany”. Weight: 7 lbs. 9 oz. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 70-80% orig metal finish. Buttstock with significant grain separation on left side at frame and sling swivel missing, repair at toe. Buttstock and forearm with light scratches and handling marks. Forearm checkering has been recut. Mechanics are very good. Bore is bright and shiny. A rare Walther shotgun with unusual mechanism.
