18th century U.S. Well carved in high relief in oak, featuring Masons tools. Purportedly a cornerstone or embellishment from a 18th century Masonic building, given to George Washington. On reverse, burnt in with chisel point “GW 18 SEP 1793” and also affixed to the reverse a clipped “G.Washington” signature. SIZE: 9″ x 9″ x 2-1/2″.
