HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP.

Handel table lamp has reverse painted scenic shade with groves of autumn trees with orange, yellow, red and green leaves. Meadows separate the groves of trees with mountains visible in the distance and an autumn sky with pink, yellow and gray clouds. Exterior of shade has chipped ice texture. Shade is signed on the interior “Handel 6755”. Shade rests atop a Handel base with four squared feet with bulbous shoulder decorated with Art Nouveau designs. Base has a three-socket cluster and is finished in dark brown patina. Lamp is signed on the underside with applied cloth tag “Handel Lamps”. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Lamp is 25″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent. Base has some minor blistering to finish. Heat cap is missing its patina. 5-68499 (5,500-7,500) – Lot 2259
