RARE WOOD CHANDELIER.

Mid 18th century, New England. This nice maple example with vase reel and spiral turned central shaft, mortise joined to carved and turned lap jointed and rosehead nailed candle arms peg joined to turned candle cups with flared rims. SIZE: 17″ t x 27″ diameter. CONDITION: Chandelier retains original unpainted surfaces with fine patina, candle cups with normal and expected discoloration with in use wear. Original iron hanging ring. One arm with drilled hole of an unknown purpose (perhaps to hang snuffer). Very good to excellent overall. 51331-47 (1,500-3,000) – Lot 2257
