ALFREDO PINA (1883-1966) NUDE BRONZE.

Alfredo Pina, a student of Auguste Rodin, was an artist and sculptor of Italian origin. He created portrait busts, among others, Beethoven and Wagner, further figurative and animal sculptures. His famous bust of Victor Hugo is located in the Metropolitan Museum in New York. This bronze depicts a reclining nude finished in a bright gold patina and signed on the side “A. Pina”. Bronze also has a foundry stamp which appears to read “Cire Pepdh 7 AG Paris”. SIZE: 22″ l x 12″ w.
