PERSIAN SAROUK RUG. First quarter 20th century, Central Persia. The painted Sarouk of overall floral design in shades of blue, ivory and pinks on a painted plum field within a blue/black main border of scrolling flower heads. SIZE: 4’4″ x 6’7″. CONDITION: The middle third with areas of wear to foundation, the ends retaining pile, with loss of fringe. Otherwise fair to good. 9-92944 (700-900)
