SHERATON MAHOGANY 2 DRAWER WORK TABLE WITH COOKIE CORNERS.Circa 1840. New England. Having a thin mahogany top with exaggerated cookie corners, the legs with ring-turned upper portion, having reeded shafts terminating in tapering Sheraton feet. Both drawers faced with book match figured satinwood veneer and cockbeading. Both drawers branded on the interior with the letters A.S. (possibly maker), having Sheraton brasses and with white pine secondary wood. SIZE: 20-1/2″ x 16″ x 29-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good, with fine old refinish, evidence of a re-glued drying split in top, hardware a replacement. 9-94838 (2,000-3,000) – Lot 2226
