TWO TABRIZ SILK RUNNERS, NORTHWEST PERSIA.

20th Century. Each with three aligned mandelas, the first with dense floral and foliate vinery interspersed with exotic birds on a blue/grey ground within an ivory main border of floral trelliswork interspersed with songbirds centered by burgundy guard borders. The second with three aligned foliate mandelas in celadon green on an ivory ground with dense polychrome floral sprays within a blue/black main border with polychrome flower heads within multiple guard borders of zigzag and floral design. SIZE: 1) 2′ 4″ x 8′ 2″. 2) 2′ 7″ x 8′ 6″. PROVENANCE: From a Maine/Texas estate being sold unreserved.
