MAHOGANY CASE STELLA MUSIC BOX WITH 17″ DISCS.

Late 19th century. Switzerland. Music box housed in a fine mahogany case with carved oak leaf and scroll carving within molded frame, the step molded base with inset drawer for holding additional discs. This box comes with a total of 17 discs, including “Dixieland”, “Hands Across The Sea March”, “In The Good Old Summertime”, “Annie Laurie”, and “The Rose of Killarny”. Stella music boxes were manufactured by Memod Freres in Switzerland and marketed in the US by Jacot Music Box Co., New York. The Stella was a music box that used discs without projections, and offered the highest quality tone. SIZE: Discs 17″ dia. Case 21″ x 28″ x 13-1/2″ t.
