AMERICAN HISTORICAL PITCHER. This pitcher has three distinct orange transfer decorations around a medial white band. The balance of the pitcher is decorated with copper lustre. The transfers on either side of the pitcher depict pastoral landscape scenes. The transfer under the spout is a portrait of General Andrew Jackson in uniform. Above the portrait reads “GENL. JACKSON HERO OF AMERICA”. There is another inscription at the base of the portrait that is only partially legible that begins “The…..”. SIZE: 4-1/2″ h x 3-1/4″ w. CONDITION: Appears generally good however, the entire top 2/3 of the spout has been restored/replaced. 9-90557 (300-600)
