RARE & FINE MARTIAL COLT DRAGOON MOLD & POWDER FLASK.

SN NSN. Cal. 44. Rare Colt dragoon flask retaining most of its orig varnish, inspected “WAT” William A. Thornton as is the 2-cavity brass dragoon mold. CONDITION: Flask is fine overall with several shallow dents as can be seen in photos. Flask retains much of its varnished finish with numerous small scratches. Top of flask has “COLT’S PATENT” marked cap compartment lid & spring loaded powder measure is functional. Charging tube on dragoons is typically stamped with various grain amounts of powder measured, this example is only marked 35 grains on charger top like a Walker. Mold has sub-inspector initials on the “COLT’S PATENT” iron sprue cutter & 1 brass handle, numerous tacking marks on sides.
