HEPPLEWHITE CLASSICAL CARVED GILT WOOD MIRROR.

First quarter 19th century, probably England. The rectangular mirror plate within the molded frame with beaded edge surmounted by a classical urn with wheat cresting above S-scrolled foliate and floral decorative elements in the Adam’s style. The pendant pierced apron similarly carved with central inverted pendant pineapple. SIZE: 52″ t x 17″ w. CONDITION: Mirror plate with diagonal crack lower left corner facing. With extensive foxing. The gilt and carved elements with some minor professional restoration and re-gilding. Molded edge of frame with areas of gilding and gesso loss. Otherwise good. 51348-43 (1,200-1,800) – Lot 2180
