FRENCH DORE BRONZE SHELF CLOCK WITH CUPID & HARP TOGETHER WITH A DORE BRONZE FIGURAL GROUP.

19th century bronze, Doré, and dark patinated bronze shelf clock with full-figured winged cherub & harp sitting atop a plinth with Doré bronze feet and wreath & torch applique having time & strike movement, signed on dial “Fierrier a Paris”. Together with a 19th century, Doré bronze of Cupid & Psyche seated on a Roman style bench with winged swan ends. Finely modeled with foliate scrolling feet. SIZE: Clock: 14″ h x 10″ w x 3-1/2″ d. Figure group: 10″ h x 11″ w x 6″ d. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Anthony M. Kurland Jr of Maine. Archaeologist with degree from Yale and PhD from Harvard. Gamage Antiques, 3.30.91. CONDITION: Clock is very good, very minor wear to bronze. Figure grouping is very good overall with wear & scratches to gilding, possible evidence of missing parts at back. 9-93129 (500-700) – Lot 2174
