BLUE OVAL PANTRY BOX. Early 19th century, Hingham, Massachusetts. Rare oval fingered box attributed to Caleb Hersey in maple and pine with iron tack and wooden pin construction with opposing fingered lobes. We believe the initials “C.H.” are impressed at center of lid beneath the paint and are faintly visible (see photo). SIZE: 5-1/4″ x 5-3/8″ x 2″ T. CONDITION: Very good with minor age appropriate wear. 9-90997 (800-1,600)
