FRAMED REVOLUTIONARY WAR LETTER.

The single folded page being addressed to “The Hon. Major General Wadsworth-Durham”. The single page letter “Wallingford May 7th, 1778″ from Colonel Thaddeus Cook (1728-1800). The letter is answering General Wadsworth’s order to provide him with additional forces, and Col. Cook is answering saying those companies no longer have enough enlisted men, but he has found 33 men that he thinks will provide what Col. Cook needs, but needs officers to go with them, which he will try to provide. Housed in a gilt frame, loosely mounted. SIZE: 12-1/4″ x 16″. Overall: 16″ x 19-1/2”.
