*COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.

SN 223005. Cal 44 WCF (44-40). Blue and color case hardened with 7-1/2″ bbl, slightly altered front sight and 1-line block letter address, marked on the left side “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER”. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates and Rampant Colt in a broken circle. Mounted with 2-pc Rampant Colt hard rubber grips. This 1902 revolver shows honest use and wear and no abuse. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains about 65% orig blue, strong & bright in sheltered areas worn to silver elsewhere with some scattered very fine pitting. Ejector housing retains strong blue in the gullets worn to blue/gray on the outer radius. Frame retains about 80% orig case colors, strong & bright in sheltered areas, fading elsewhere. Cylinder retains about 50% thinning orig blue. Most of the screw heads retain about all of their bright fire blue. Trigger guard & backstrap retain bright blue in sheltered areas being a blue/gray patina on the front & backstraps with fine pitting on the backstrap. Left grip has a chip by the backstrap, otherwise grips are sound showing moderate wear. Hammer is not solid in the safety notch, otherwise mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with scattered pitting. 51500-16 JRL (2,500-3,500) C&R – Lot 2154
