INTAGLIO CARVED CRANBERRY TO CLEAR VASE.

Whimsical vase has intaglio carved scene of cats dressed in human clothing in various forms of human activity. A lovely lady cat is clothed in a long dress with apron reading a poem as she stands on a platform. Another scene shows cats on ladders wearing pants and vests hanging garland from a balcony with a lady cat below with a bouquet of flowers in her apron and, finally a male cat in jacket and knickers walking towards the lady cat reading poetry with a flower in his hand all set amongst foliage and trees. Bulbous bottom of the vase is intaglio carved with exotic birds, insects and foliage. Vase is unsigned. SIZE: 13″ t.
