*FINE FIRST GENERATION PRE-WWII COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.

SN 198464. Cal 38 WCF (38-40). Blue & color case hardened with 5-1/2″ bbl, full front sight, 1-line block letter address and cal marking on left side. Left side of frame has 2-line 3-patent dates and Rampant Colt in circle. Mounted with 2-pc Rampant Colt hard rubber grips marked inside left grip “W C Krenfrian / 1907 / Granville / WIS.” Inside right grip is scratched with the deep initials “WCK” & “H.W.F”. This 1900 produced Colt shows honest wear and use from an era when carrying a gun was still part of daily life. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbl & ejector housing retain about 75% thinning orig blue, strong & bright in sheltered areas. Frame retains about 75-80% orig case colors, strong & bright in sheltered areas turned silver elsewhere. Screw heads show strong fire blue. Cylinder retains about 65-70% thinning orig blue. Trigger guard & backstrap retain bright blue in sheltered areas, turned brown on front & back straps. Grips are sound showing moderate to heavy wear, more so on right side. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore with a few scattered spots of pitting. 51500-17 JRL (3,000-5,000) C&R – Lot 2151
