PAINTED 18TH CENTURY FLORENTINE DESK.

18th Century, Italy. Stepped back cabinet or desk with elaborate scalloped top above setback portion with four narrow drawers and pigeon holes, all above a molded edge writing top with chamfered corners all above a double pedestal base with two doors, sitting atop an elaborate bracket base. Each door constructed of two boards set at an angle conforming to the cabinet shape with forged hardware and supports complete with original lock. Exterior surface painted with marbleizing and scroll framed floral panels. SIZE: 42″ h x 54-1/2″ w x 21″ d. CONDITION: Very good original condition. Bracket and paint an old replacement.
