*CUSTOM GOLD INLAID 28 GAUGE GRULLA SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN.

SN 31-03-083-04. Cal. 28 GA 2-3/4″ Chambers. 28-1/4″ Chopper lump bbls fitted with screw chokes and low, narrow, concave game rib are marked “GRULLA ARMAS S. L. EIBAR MADE IN SPAIN” on top of right bbl. Engine turned bbl flats are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs for 28 ga and 2-3/4″ chambers. Case hardened, round bodied, H&H type sidelock action features non-automatic safety, bushed strikers, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, H&H type detachable sidelocks, and dbl triggers, front articulated. Action is engraved with near full coverage simple scroll as background for semi-relief gold inlays of flowers and birds. Fences are inlaid in leaf and ribbon design. Left lock portrays a pair of gold cock pheasant dueling, spurs raised. A pair of quail fly across right lockplate. Bottom of action has gold portrait of a retriever with a trio of on-coming quail are on trigger plate. Top lever is pierced in scroll design. Sgl beaded trigger guard bow is also pierced in foliate design with gold inlaid flowers. Exceptional burl figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over thin black Decelerator pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release with gold inlaid spider on tip. Drop at heel: 2-1/16″, drop at comb: 1-3/8″. Weight: 6 lbs 4 oz. LOP: 14-1/2″. Gun is accompanied by its orig box and packing materials and three additional Briley thin wall choke tubes (2 in gun) and wrench. PROVENANCE: Larry Baer Estate Collection. CONDITION: Excellent, showing little use, with scant evidence of having been fired, since proof, retaining essentially all of its orig finishes on wood and metal, with few light handling marks.
