MOLDED COPPER PIG WEATHERVANE.

American, late 19th or early 20th century. Molded copper. A flattened hog with molded curly tail and pointed nose. Ears solder attached, having worn gilt surface. Mounted on hollow rod base, now with museum mount. See The Art of the Weathervane by Steve Miller, pages 41 and 42 for images of a very similar vane. SIZE: 18″ h x 34-1/2 l. CONDITION: Very good.
