STAFFORDSHIRE FIGURAL PITCHER.

First half 19th century, England. The pitcher depicting a chained and muzzled seated bear fitted with handle holding an upright dog in its front legs; the animal fashioned as a spout, on a mottled green base. The rear of the bear with a banner incised with the words “BEARS GREASE.” SIZE: 11-1/2″ H. CONDITION: Chain links with damage, head badly damaged & in several pieces, apparently all or most parts present for restoration. 8-87744 (100-200) – Lot 2117
