FLATTENED COPPER FORMAL HORSE AND RIDER WEATHERVANE.

Late 19th century. Attributed to A.L. Jewell, Waltham, Massachusetts. This fine example with verdigris and gilded surface depicting a rider in sheet copper silhouette, the horse with bead eyes, the sheet copper tail and mount. Offered without stand. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h. Approximately 30″ l. CONDITION: With good old surface, tail with possible old restoration at body, mounting rod on flange with later rivets, generally good. 9-96766 (12,000-18,000) – Lot 2111
